Patna, Jan. 29: Investors would no longer need to run from pillar to post for obtaining a simple form as all such essential documents have been uploaded on the state industry department’s website.
The state industries department has formally started with the first step with the online system of filing of the applications and documents, which are needed for an approval from the State Investments Promotion Board.
At least eight application forms have been added in the department’s website — www.industries.bih.nic.in — that can be downloaded by any interested investor directly from the website.
“The department is making things easy for any potential investor. Earlier, they had to come to the department’s office for collecting different forms and applications,” a department official told The Telegraph.
He added: “It used to consume a lot of time. There had been a lot of complaints about businessmen moving from one table to another for collection the same. The form filling is the first step towards any kind of investment — whether big or small. It gives any investor the first impression towards the place he is investing in.”
Hence, the official said, the facility has to be made quite friendly.
“With the application available online now, the investor will not have to run around the office collecting the same and can just log on to the website and just download it,” he added.
Among the applications which can be downloaded is the form for the State Investments Promotion Board approval, application for claiming exemption of stamp duty and registration fee for purchase of industrial plots, application for financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), application for grants and application for the preparation of a detailed project report.
In addition to this, the checklists of documents, which need to be submitted along with the applications, can be downloaded too.
These include checklist of documents for the preparation of detailed project report, checklist of documents for grants and checklist of documents for the detailed project report.
“The single window system is being initiated too. In the industries department, six officials have been given the task of helping an investor,” the official added.
Earlier, the department had streamlined the present status of all the State Investments Promotion Board-approved projects on their websites so that any investor could easily check things out before he planned to invest.
