Education for all was the thrust of the state human resources development (HRD) department tableau at Republic Day parade on Saturday on Morabadi grounds, Ranchi, which was adjudged best among 24. Governor Syed Ahmed handed over HRD department officials the prize at a ceremony at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.

This year, spectators in Delhi and on television screens across the country, also saw Jharkhand’s tableau in the main parade. In it, artisans Mani Malhar and Dasrath Malhar from Khunti demonstrated the dokra art form. Folk artistes from Namkum also presented songs.
