Station vow on R-Day

Patna: Republic Day was celebrated on the premises of East Central Railway (ECR) headquarters at Hajipur. fter hoisting the Tricolour, ECR general manager Madhuresh Kumar said the much-awaited Patliputra railway station would be opened soon.

Ara: Vice-chief of the Army Staff Lieutenant-general S.K. Singh on Sunday inaugurated a polyclinic for retired armymen and general public. According to him, development is needed to face the challenges at the border.

Accident

Gaya: Two persons, including a truck driver, were killed on Sunday after two vehicles collided on National Highway-2 near Kahudas village under Barachatti police station here, police said. Deputy superintendent of police, city, Akhtar Hussain, said the mishap occurred after the driver lost control and rammed his truck into a road construction vehicle.

Patna: Gangotri Iron and Steel Company launched a TMT bar Duramaxx 500 D on Sunday. The product was launched at a programme attended by Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kissen. Sanjeev Choudhary, the managing director of the company, said the new iron bar is earthquake resistant.
