Studentsí homage to Netaji
- Walk for the warrior

More than 1,000 school students took part in an early morning procession to mark the 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Dhanbad on Wednesday.

Underprivileged children enrolled at four centres of Kartavya also participated.

The procession organised by Bengali Welfare Society began around 8am from Durga Mandir campus. District education officer Dhamadeo Rai, DSP (law and order) Amit Kumar and deputy mayor Niraj Singh were in attendance as well with students in colourful clothes and some dressed like prominent leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose and Birsa Munda.

Hazaribagh, which had hosted Netaji thrice, also witnessed similar processions taken out by school and college students, nurses of sadar hospital and members of NGOs.
