‘Rape’ in hotel

Calcutta, Jan. 23: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three youths in a hotel room at Diamond Harbour on Wednesday evening.

Women court

Malda: The first court in the country to deal with crimes against women was inaugurated in Malda on Wednesday. The court will have an additional district and sessions court and a judicial magistrate’s court under it.

City fire

Calcutta: Fire broke out on the first floor of a three-storey building in Tollygunge on Wednesday, trapping a couple in their seventies. Fire fighters rescued them.
