Navajyoti, River Rine triumph

Guwahati, Jan. 22: Navajyoti Club and River Rine Club posted emphatic wins in their respective matches of the 2nd Nilimoy Choudhury T20 cricket tournament, organised by Navarang Club, at Judges Field here today.

In the first match, Navajyoti trounced Ankurjyoti Club by 81 runs while in the second, River Rine inflicted a 59-run defeat on Corner Kick.

Navajyoti opted to bat and piled up 161 for six in 20 overs. Nishanta Bordoloi led the attack with a quickfire 85.

In reply, Ankurjyoti were restricted to 80 for six in 20 overs. Rohit Sarma top-scored with 45.

In the other match, River Rine rode on Ranjit Changmai’s 107 to post 174 for two in 20 overs.

In reply, Corner Kick were bowled out for 115 in 19.4 overs. Bikash Tiwari and Sumit R. Das scored 36 and 35 respectively.
