Bagan tie in Kalyani

Although an official announcement is still awaited, but Sunday's I-League tie featuring Prayag United SC and Mohun Bagan is most likely to be played in Kalyani. The Kalyani Stadium so far has been a happy hunting ground for United SC, who a few days ago had requested the AIFF to slot all their home matches at this venue.

Tennis tourney

Pranjala Yadlapalli upset top seed Kim Dabin of Korea in the first round of the Gujarat NRE being held at the Dakshin Kolkata Sansad, on Monday. Pranjala came back from a set behind to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 and oust the Korean. In the other matches, eighth seed Riya Bhatia fought hard to beat Korean Suyeon Choi 2-6, 6-4, 7-5, while D. Venugopal Tatachar brushed aside Rheeya Doshi of Singapore 6-3, 6-2. . In the men's section, Rishabh Agarwal beat Nitin Kumar Sinha 6-2, 6-3.

Football meet

Barasat United Football will face Ashoknagar FCC in the final of the Ganga Football Utsav, organised by New Bani Sangha. In the second semifinal, on Monday, Barasat UF won 1-0 against RNS Katiahat.
