Rhino attack

Golaghat, Jan. 21: Two forest guards, Monoj Boro and Nitul Bora, were injured when a rhino charged towards a forest team looking for the animal at Arjun sapori near Numaligarh last evening.

Bakial forest beat official D. Phukan said the 17-member team had traced the rhino, which had strayed out of Kaziranga National Park on Saturday.

The team was trying to herd it back into the park by bursting firecrackers when the animal charged towards them.

While running, the two forest guards fell. Monoj broke his left arm while Nitul hurt his leg.
