Guwahati, Jan. 20: D. Riyan Parag cracked his second ton in a row to help Guwahati lift the Umananda Bora Trophy under-13 inter-district cricket tournament title, defeating Charaideo by 125 runs in the final at Nehru Stadium here today.

Put to bat first, the hosts scored a challenging total of 213 for seven in the stipulated 40 overs and Charaideo were bundled out for 88 in 26 overs.

Skipper Parag, dropped at 76, scored a solid 125, laced with 14 hits to the ropes and a towering six, facing 143 balls to lead his side to a respectable total. Abhishek Yadav scored 25, sharing a 97-run partnership with Parag for the third wicket.

None of the other batsmen could score in double figures.

Parag had earlier scored an unbeaten 157 to help Guwahati beat Dibrugarh by 250 runs in the first semi-final at Barsapara Stadium here last Tuesday.

Ridip Mohan of Charaideo picked up three wickets for 35 runs while three of the Guwahati batsmen ran themselves out. The Charaideo bowlers were, however, a little too expensive conceding 44 runs, including 37 wides, as extras.
