New Delhi, Jan. 19: The BJP today accused Sonia Gandhi of using the Jaipur conclave to project Rahul Gandhi among young voters while showing false concern for the youth.
Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad picked on the conclave’s name, “Chintan Shivir”, to allege that Sonia’s real “chinta” (concern) was for Rahul and not the country’s youth about whom she had spoken in her speech.
“It is clear from the Congress activity... that there is less of introspection and more of worry,” Prasad said.
“Sonia Gandhi has expressed concern for the youth and the middle class. The concern for the youth has come after being in power for nine years…. Is this a concern for the youth or a concern for Rahul Gandhi?”
He said the Congress was concerned about giving a “bigger role” to Rahul and not a “bigger responsibility”.
