Imphal, Jan. 17: Youth Progressive Organisation beat Juvenile Association 2-0 today in a league match of the 14th Sena Cup — a state-level under-16 boys’ football tournament — at Kakching Khujampat ground in Kakching of Thoubal district.
Ali Khan scored the first goal in the 41st minute while Md Taslim scored the second goal in the 48th minute.
Sena Athletics Cup, Kakching, has organised the tournament under the aegis of the District Sports Association, Kakching.
In the second match, Ideal Youth Association went down 0-1 to Kakching Town Club. Gorkey scored the winning goal in the 41st minute.
Finals: Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong will meet North Eastern Reorganising Cultural Association, Imphal tomorrow at Khuman Lampak main stadium in Imphal for the final match of Sir Churachand memorial football tournament. Northeastern are the defending champions.
