Tusker rescued

Ranchi, Jan. 17: A day after two elephants were electrocuted in Rahe, about 40km from the district headquarters in Bundu police station area, another fell into a well today near Jojodih Middle School, about 65km from Ranchi in Tamar police station area.

Though the elephant was saved after a daylong effort, it sustained injuries in the process. An inclined path had to be created out of the 10-feet-deep well with the help of an earthmover to rescue the animal.
