Medical council
The high court on Wednesday asked the state medical council to elect a new executive body within six months. The division bench of Chief Justice A.K. Mishra and Justice Joymalya Bagchi passed the order on a petition moved by NRI doctor Kunal Saha, challenging the authority of the existing ad hoc body. Saha has submitted that the election had been pending since 2010.
