Colourful warm-up

The annual sports day of DAV Public School, Patelnagar, on Wednesday at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur, kick-started with a confluence of colours. Though new track and field records were made and Dayanand House became the overall champion, the eye-catchers of the day were the drills before the sporting events. The action-packed day started with a march past where students paraded in sync with the school band. Then, the audience was regaled to a visual feast as a series of colourful musical drills and exercises happened one after the other. From multi-coloured umbrellas to red hearts to funky costumes, the drills had it all. “I am glad the school encourages sports as it gives children an opportunity for overall growth,” said chief guest Ganesh Prasad, the East Singhbhum additional deputy commissioner. More so with so many hues of joy.
