Teacher test
The test to recruit primary school teachers has been scheduled for March 31. The test, which was supposed to be held on December 23, had been postponed following a stay by the high court.
Shanty fire
About 50 shanties were gutted in a fire at Dhobitala, near the Central Garden Reach Road-Sikh Lane crossing late on Thursday. Five tenders were needed to control the blaze. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. |
