You can now make your winter picnic basket Yogi Bear-worthy with a scrumptious spread from chef Joymalya Banerjee of Chef Joy’s Deli. The basket, in fact, is packed and waiting for you at his 31 Old Ballygunge Place (off Bondel Road) takeaway!

“Picnicking is not just about a group of people coming together; it is about spending quality time with your near and dear ones. Keeping this in mind, we have made three kinds of baskets that you can get packed. You can either collect it from our outlet or get it home-delivered,” says Joy.

The basket is filled with sandwiches, wraps, main course dishes and desserts. You can choose from Smoked Chicken and Cheese Sandwich or Roast Mutton and Mustard Onion Sandwich or Barbecue Roasted Chicken & Kidney Beans and Creamed Chicken & Tomato for wraps. For the main course, the options are Chicken Supreme with Cumin & Pickled Pineapple Casserole, Chicken & Peppers with Sweet Berries and Mutton Brown Stew. A basket for two costs Rs 1,399, for a group of four Rs 2,699 and for six people Rs 3,699.

SEASON’S SPECIAL: Don’t miss the Guramel Custard (left), which is the regular caramel custard but with a nolen gur twist! Simply yum, it is priced Rs 129 for one portion.
