Hooch case

Calcutta, Jan. 10: Calcutta High Court today expressed its desire to hand over to the CBI the 2011 Mograhat hooch death case, in which 172 people had died after consuming illicit liquor.

A division bench of Chief Justice A.K. Mishra and Justice Jaymalya Bagchi asked the state government to give its opinion on the high court’s plan by January 22.
