Balotelli is criticised

London: Silvio Berlusconi, the former prime minister of Italy and AC Milan owner, has described Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli as a ‘rotten apple’ after it was suggested that the striker could make a return to San Siro.

Balotelli, who starred for his country in last summer's European Championship, played for Berlusconi’s rivals Inter Milan before moving to Manchester City in 2010 and has been linked with a move back to Serie A following his latest training-ground spat with Roberto Mancini.

“...He (Balotelli) is a rotten apple and could infect every group where he goes, even Milan,” Berlusconi said.
