New Delhi, Jan 8: The mother of teenager Souvik Pal, missing in Manchester since New Year’s Day, today wrote to external affairs minister Salman Khurshid and Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee for help to trace her son.
Souvik, 18, is a student at Manchester Metropolitan University.
“Today is the 8th day since Souvik is missing. We have been receiving feedback from Manchester Police about their search operation… but not received any new feedback since 5th of January… submitting this appeal to you to kindly help us to trace our missing son,” Mahuya Pal wrote to Khurshid.
She has written a similar letter in Bengali to Mamata.
The boy’s father, Santanu Pal, is now in Manchester in search of his son who went missing after going to a New Year’s Eve party at a club.
The family lives in Bangalore now but belongs to West Midnapore.
