Happily single

Nargis Fakhri is finally in the news for something other than the talk of her marriage with Uday Chopra.

The doe-eyed beauty, who virtually disappeared from Bollywood after her (disaster) debut act in Rockstar, has been signed on by filmmaker Shoojit Sircar for Madras Cafe, his latest after the sleeper-hit Vicky Donor.

Fakhri, 33, who replaced Diana Penty to play Heer in Rockstar, has reportedly taken over from model Sheetal Malhar to play John Abraham’s love interest in Madras Cafe, earlier titled Jaffna.

“Happily single and totally into my work. I am not getting married anytime soon to anyone. Who started this rumour?” she tweeted after talk of Nargis and Uday spending New Year’s Eve together started doing the rounds.
