High court employee shot at

Patna, Jan. 5: A high court employee suffered injuries after being shot at on Ashok Rajpath in the state capital today.

Rinku Kumar, a resident of Gardanibagh, has been admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital. Police said the incident occurred when Rinku was on his way to Patna civil court for some work.

“A bullet hit him from behind when he alighted from an autorickshaw and was walking towards the court,” said Pirbahore station house officer S.A. Hashmi.

The victim lodged a named FIR against Arun Kumar, Sunil Pathak and Amit Kumar. Hashmi said Arun and Sunil are practising high court lawyers, while Amit is a munshi. The accused are absconding after the incident.
