Calcutta, Jan. 5: A 28-year-old homemaker who got married on November 23 was today found hanging in the Patuli flat of her banker husband.
A “suicide note” found in the room where Sangita Basu was found hanging said no one was responsible for her death.
The preliminary post-mortem report has ruled out the chances of foul play.
Sangita and her husband Sayantan, the vice-president of a private bank in central Calcutta, had moved into the top-floor flat of the building, Mohini, a few days after their marriage.
The police have found out that the couple married after “long courtship”.
“She used to work in a bank but left the job just before her marriage,” an officer said.
