Guwahati, Jan. 4: Bud Cricket Club crushed City Cricket Club by eight wickets in a match of the Ramesh Barooah invitation cricket tournament at Judges Field here today.
Put in to bat, City were all out for 140 in 39.2 overs and Bud lost two wickets scoring 141 in 28.4 overs.
Rishav Das topscored for Bud with a breezy 65 and Tarjinder Singh remained unbeaten on 39. Saahil Jain also chipped in with a steady knock of 25 runs.
Debashish Saikia of City picked up a wicket for 36 runs.
For City, Rahul Hazarika scored a steady 53 while Nekibur Haque and Amzad Ali contributed 27 and 24 runs respectively. Gokul Sharma of Bud scalped three wickets for 20 runs and Jogeswar Bhumij picked up two for nine runs.
