Man sets wife on fire

Police on Thursday night rescued a woman allegedly set on fire by her husband.

Alam Tola resident Nazrana (25) told Forbesganj police that her husband Mohammad Guddu came home drunk on Thursday night. After he found the food served too salty, he poured kerosene on her and set her on fire. When Nazrana managed to douse the fire, Guddu wanted to kill her at a desolated place.

The police rescued Nazrana from Gudari Mohulla. The accused managed to escape, though. Superintendent of police Shivdeep Lande said, “The woman was admitted to a hospital in Forbesganj. A case has been registered.”
