Relief for Satyam directors
New York, Jan. 3: A US court here has dismissed claims made in a class action lawsuit against seven former directors of Indian IT firm Satyam Computers saying the directors were themselves “victims of the fraud” and the shareholder suit fails to adequately prove allegations of fraud and negligence against them.
ONGC pay
New Delhi, Jan. 3: Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) today paid an interim dividend of Rs 2,961 crore to the government for this fiscal. This represents dividend payment at 100 per cent of the equity capital held by the government in ONGC.
IT spending
New Delhi, Jan. 3: Worldwide IT spending is projected to reach $3.73 trillion in 2013, a 4.2 per cent increase from $3.58 trillion in 2012, research firm Gartner today said.
