Hubby kin kill woman
Gopalganj, Jan. 3: Deepa, 27, the wife of indigenous medical practitioner Nandu Kumar Ram was killed allegedly by the relatives of her husband at Charkarhi village under the jurisdiction of Kateya police station on Wednesday night.
eepa had submitted a petition to senior superintendent of police Natasha Gudia at her janata durbar last week fearing that she would be killed. The body has been sent for autopsy.
Minor rescue
Araria: Three minors from Bengal, were rescued from the Bhargama area while being forcibly taken to Nepal on Thursday. A 22-year-old youth, identified as Dharmendra Dhami, was also arrested in this connection.
FIR heat
Araria: Rajkishore Singh, a petty contractor, registered an FIR against BJP MLA from Sikti Anandi Yadav at Town police station, for threatening him on Thursday.
Liquor deaths
Madhubani: Five persons — identified as Sapta village residents Mohammad Dulare and Lalan Yadav, and Bhaura residents Brajmohan, Lakshmibari and Nazre Alam — died on Wednesday after allegedly consuming spurious liquor even though the families of the deceased and the administration refused to confirm the cause of the deaths.
Protest march
Muzaffarpur: Members of All India Democratic Students’ Organisation and Agrani Swabhiman took out a procession on Thursday demanding a CBI probe into the alleged kidnapping of 13-year-old Nobha Chakarvarty who went missing on September 19 last year.
Dolphin dead
Araria (PTI): A 7-foot dolphin, weighing 150 kg, was found dead on the bank of the Bakra in Farsadangi village on Wednesday. Marine officials suspect poachers killed it.
