Guwahati, Jan. 2: The Assam Football Association (AFA) has invited as many as 59 probables to the selection trials for the state senior team to participate in the 67th Santosh Trophy Tournament to be held in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala from February 1.
The trials will be held at the Oil India Ltd ground in Moran under Charaideo District Sports Association from January 17 to 28.
Assam will play the group league in Uttar Pradesh and are clustered with Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Rajasthan, said AFA secretary Ankur Dutta.
The AFA will provide food and board at Moran during the camp.
However, the respective district sports associations will have to bear the travel expenses of the probables to and from Moran.
All the probables will compulsorily have to attend the camp.
Failing to do so the defaulting players will be suspended unless valid reasons, endorsed by documentary evidence, are provided through the respective district associations.
