Police to move court on DNA test

Muzaffarpur, Dec. 29: Police plan to move court after Nobha Chakarvarty’s parents refused to provide blood samples for a DNA test to identify a body found recently.

Senior superintendent of police Rajesh Kumar, said Town station house officer Jitendra Kumar Singh visited Nobha’s home yesterday to request the girl’s parents for the DNA test. “The officer would table the forensic report in court and seek permission for the DNA test,” said the SSP.

Nobha was allegedly kidnapped in September and the recovery of a decomposed body near the girl’s home triggered specualtions that it could be of the girl.
