Kalyani, Dec. 27: Eight students who were allowed to take admission in Kalyani University six days before the study leave have been barred from taking their Part I examination because of inadequate attendance.
Vice-chancellor Aloke Banerjee said he was “under pressure” from the Trinamul Chhatra Parishad to admit the students. The union denied the charge.
