Guwahati, Dec. 26: City Cricket Coaching Centre (CCCC) B entered the final of the Ashwini Rajbangshi Trophy Ankurjyoti Challenge (under-14) cricket tournament defeating Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy by four wickets in the second semi-final at Latasil ground here today.
The Ankurjyoti boys opted to bat and were bowled out for 109 in 23.4 overs. In reply, the City boys reached 110 for six in 22.3 overs.
Surindar Singh topscored for City with 28 runs and Rakesh Walia remained not out on 21. Simanta Sarania also contributed 10.
Azhar Ali of Ankurjyoti scalped three wickets conceding 14 runs and Ajay Akela picked up two for 17.
Earlier, Binod Basfore (20) and Vijay Singh (20) were the topscorers for Ankurjyoti and Sanjeev Rajak chipped in with 17.
Surindar Singh, Mustaque Ahmed and Arunik Choudhury of City bagged three wickets each, giving away 15, 25 and 11 runs respectively.
City will now play Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nalbari in the final tomorrow.
