State Food Authority officials seized adulterated packs of edible oil worth Rs 50 lakh from a godown in Patna City on Monday evening.
A source said a joint team of the Special Task Force and the State Food Authority, acting on a tip-off, raided the godown in Patna City’s Gulzarbagh area. The owner had stored packets of edible oil that were labelled misleadingly in the name of established brands.
The source added that the samples have been collected and sent to a food testing laboratory to check their authenticity.
