Man drowns

Dibrugarh, Dec. 23: A 45-year-old civil engineer, Pabitra Nath, drowned in the Buridihing river today.

Nath, who was working for Rajshekhar Construction Private Ltd in the district, drowned during a picnic near the river, under Duliajan police station. His body is yet to be recovered.

Sonowal visit

Assam BJP president Sarbananda Sonowal visited the Ghewmari and Bhogdanga border areas of Dhubri district and took stock of the problems prevailing in the border villages today.

He also addressed a party workers’ meet at Golokganj.
