Katju on Modi
Bhopal, Dec. 23 (PTI): Press Council of India chairman Markandey Katju today hit out at Narendra Modi, describing as “phoney” his claims of development and saying the state’s malnutrition stats were worse than Somalia’s.
Katju said the common man’s condition was “abysmal” in Gujarat.

London (PTI): British police, probing nurse Jacintha Saldanha’s death after a hoax call, has passed a file to the Crown Prosecution Service to review whether the two Australian DJs behind the prank had committed any offences.
Tigress dead
Jaipur (PTI): A tigress was found dead in the Ranthambore forests in Rajasthan on Sunday. Police attributed the death to a fight with another big cat.
