Calcutta: Leslie Claudius, who has been hospitalised since last week, is out of the ventilator and is showing signs of improvement.
His pressure, too, is normal.
The 85-year-old could recognise Gurbux Singh and retired judge Shyamal Sen, both of who had visited him , on Wednesday.
“The doctor told me that Claudius’ condition is gradually improving.
“He could recognise both Justice Sen and me when we were there at the hospital.
“The doctor sounds confident that Leslie could be discharged soon if there’s a steady improvement in his condition,” Gurbux said.
