CCCC-B, Ex-Team prevail

Guwahati, Dec. 18: City Cricket Coaching Centre (CCCC-B) and Ex-Team XI Coaching Centre today posted comfortable victories in their respective matches of the Ashwini Rajbangshi Trophy Ankurjyoti Challenge (under-14) cricket tournament at Latasil playground here.

While the City team inflicted a 34-run defeat to South Point School, Ex-Team XI edged past Noonmati Cricket Academy by one wicket.

In the morning match, CCCC-B elected to bat and posted 136 for nine in the 20 overs while South Point were restricted to 102 for eight.

Aman Sohil (24, 4x3), Rakesh Walia (22, 4x3) and Simanta Sarma (16, 4x2) were the main scorers for CCCC-B while Subham Dutta of South Point picked up four wickets for 23 runs. Subham Dutta topscored for South Point with 21.

In the afternoon match, NCA elected to bat and scored 124 for nine in 20 overs, while Ex-Team XI boys reached 125 for nine in 19.2 overs.

South Point will meet Ex-Team XI CC and Smart English School will clash with Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya in tomorrow’s matches.
