Shillong, Dec. 17: A division bench of the Shillong bench of Gauhati High Court today admitted a public interest litigation (PIL) on alleged unauthorised allotment of government land to bureaucrats. The PIL was filed by the president of the Civil Society Women’s Organisation (CSWO), Agnes Kharshiing, and backed by Mait Shaphrang Movement, FKJGP, HNYF and Freedom Project. The division bench, comprising Justice T. Vaiphei and Justice P.K. Saikia, admitted the litigation.
