Odisha, Bihar move up

Imphal, Dec. 17: Odisha, Bihar, Railways and Jharkhand moved ahead in the men’s section of the 60th Senior National Kabaddi Championship for East Zone, 2012 at Khuman Lampak indoor stadium.

The tournament, which is being organised by the Manipur State Kabaddi Association, began yesterday.

Odisha beat Manipur 28-18, Bihar beat Nagaland 37-4, Railways beat Assam 57-28, Bihar beat Tripura 69-7, Jharkhand beat Nagaland 61-15 and Odi-sha beat Assam 38-25.

In the women’s league round, Bihar beat Jharkhand 38-26 and Railways beat Jharkhand 38-29.

Indian Railways, Manipur, Assam and Odisha are in the men’s Group A, while Jharkhand, Bihar, Tripura, Nagaland are in Group B. In the women’s section, Group A comprises Railways, Bihar and Jharkhand, while Odisha, Manipur, and Assam make up Group B.
