Students of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Calcutta, recently organised Paradigm 2012, the annual alumni meet, in association with The Telegraph.
The event, held on Saturday at the Palladian Lounge at the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, provided a platform for alumni to catch up with old friends. Present students, too, were happy to interact with them.
“I had a lot of fun last year and had to come this year as well,” said Anindita Roy Barman, a second-year student.
“The main purpose is to interact with the alumni. They are established people and it always helps to get a few industry-related tips from them,” said student Haithong Wang, also from the second year.
IISWBM director D.K. Sanyal greeted the alumni, saying the gathering reminded him of his younger days.
The head of the department of MBA (day), S.K. Mullick, welcomed the students and alumni and spoke of the institute’s achievements.
The inauguration was followed by a fun interactive session between the alumni and present students.
Later, everyone hit the dance floor with gusto. Students — both past and present — shook a leg to popular Bollywood and club tracks before heading for the scrumptious dinner spread.
