India Blues in the lead

Calcutta: India Blues Bombay are leading the field with 104 VPs at the end of the fifth round for the Ruia Gold Trophy in the National Bridge Championships.

They are followed by Poddar Developers with 99 VPs. Formidables and Texan Aces are joint third with 97 VPs.

Last year Ruia Gold winners Railways A’s performance have not been very impressive so far with 79 VPs in five rounds. However, they have a record of springing surprises at the finishing stage.

Compared to the last Winter Nationals in Chennai, entries for Ruia Gold is 59 Teams and for Ruia Silver 99 Teams.

In Ruia Silver, Odisha Secretariat Recreation Club with 105 VPs are topping the table and OCI Copper with 99 VPs are in second position.

In Ruia Silver, Odisha Secretariat Recreation Club (105 VPs) are in the lead followed by OCI Copper (99 VPs) and DRDO Sports Board (99 VPs).

RKD Infrastructure Pvt Ltd (96 VPs) are placed third.

A team of young engineers of Jadavpur University (Rajarshi Roy, Ratul Das, Ranajoy Basu, Sumya Sankar Chakrabarti, Subham Talukdar) are making their debut and are playing under the sponsorship of Navyug Engineering Co. as Navyug Engineering Co (Junior).
