Imphal, Dec. 16: The Imphal East District Football Association beat District Sports Association, Kakching, 6-0 in the last league match of the sub-junior inter-district football tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung here today.
For Imphal East, Md Roshan scored the first goal in eighth minute, with Md Sahajahan scoring in the 41st and 65th minutes, S. Ranjiv in the 57th and Kh. Nepolian in the 64th and 71st minutes.
In Group A, Imphal West finished at the top with six points, with Bishnupur and Thoubal bagging one point each. Bishnupur got the second place owing to a better goal difference. In Group B, Imphal East emerged winners with six points. Churachandpur finished second, while Kakching came third on account of goal difference, as both got a point each.
The first semi-final will be played on December 18 between Imphal West and Churachandpur, while the second semi-final will be played between Imphal East and Bishnupur.
There was no match of Sir Churachand Singh football tournament today.
