Calcutta: La Martiniere for Boys and Modern High School emerged overall champions of the Selvel Kolkata Invitation School Sports, which concluded at the La Martiniere for Boys ground, here, on Saturday.
The inter-school athletic meet was organised by the Debanjan Sen Foundation.
Mobasher Alam of St James’ won the jury award for best athlete, while Bhavya Ranjan of DPS, Ruby Park bagged the award in the girls’ category for her outstanding performance.
DPS, Ruby Park’s Rohan Roy and Rehnuma Hussain won the most promising athlete (boys) and most promising athlete (girls), respectively.
Former Mohun Bagan striker Jose Ramirez Barreto, East Bengal’s Alvito D’ Cunha, Sanju Pradhan and Sushant Mathew were present on the final day.

Boys: U-19: Mohammed Adnan (LMB); U-16: Shubham Chokhani (DPS, Ruby Park); U-13: Saurav Kar (DPS, Ruby Park).
Girls: U-19: Sangeeta Singh (Modern High); U-16: Nitika Jalan (DPS, Ruby Park); U-13: Anamkia Sarkar (DPS, Ruby Park).
