Financial schemes launched

Kokrajhar, Dec. 14: The Assam Co-operative Insurance Limited, a government of Assam undertaking financial institute, launched new thrift and credit schemes at a meeting at the Kokrajhar Science College auditorium today.

James Basumatay, executive member of BTC, co-operative society and transport, formally launched the schemes by lighting the inaugural lamp.

ACIL secretary D.D. Phukan said the new thrift and credit schemes is Kokrajhar, which has been launched for the first time in the Bodo belt, would be beneficial for the people of the region. He said there would be facilities for loan and cash deposition. The people will be able to work for self-reliance by availing loan, he added.

He said the Assam government has approved ambulance services to the co-operative insurance limited for the interest of people across the state.

In his speech, Basumatary said the ACIL through this new scheme would be able to benefit the people in various fields.
