JMM on Panem offensive

Dumka, Dec. 14: Jumping on the Panem relief and rehabilitation (R&R) bandwagon, JMM held a public meeting today in what seems to be a desperate clawback to mobilise tribal voters.

JMM scion and Jharkhand deputy chief minister Hemant Soren addressed the gathering ostensibly on R&R, but lashed out at JVM (P) chief Babulal Marandi and Congress leader Stephen Marandi. The state and Panem had to bow before the demands of the two Marandis after their 23-day dharna to ensure R&R for the displaced.

Left smarting, Hemant today alleged that Babulal Marandi made a “futile attempt to negotiate cash deal with Panem”. “When that didn’t happen, he launched an agitation,” Hemant said.
