Fan plotted to kill Bieber

Washington, Dec. 14: The pop star Justin Bieber was the target of a bizarre murder plot involving a paisley tie, some pruning shears and an imprisoned man so infatuated with the teen idol that he had a tattoo of him.

Dana Martin, 45, who is serving life in New Mexico for killing a 15-year-old girl from Vermont in 2000, told investigators that he had hatched a plot to castrate and kill the pop star and his bodyguard and two others not connected with the pop star.

According to documents filed in a New Mexico district court, Martin confessed that he persuaded Mark Staake, 41, a former fellow inmate, and Staake’s nephew, Tanner Ruane, 23, to commit the murders for him.
