Brahmaputra players stun CCCC

u-14 cricket

Guwahati, Dec. 13: Brahmaputra Boys Cricket Coaching Centre inflicted a 26-run defeat today on City Cricket Coaching Centre in a group league match of Ashwini Rajbangshi Trophy Ankurjyoti Challenge u-14 cricket tournament at Latasil ground here.

Electing to bat, Brahmaputra Boys rode a brilliant 88-run (11x4, 2x6) knock by Suvam Jha to post 155 for five in the allotted 20 overs, while CCCC were all out for 129 in 19.4 overs in their reply.

Amarjyoti Das remained unbeaten on 29 (4x3) and Sonu Kumar Sah scored 17.

Raja Nobil Islam of CCCC scalped three wickets for 26 runs and Anup Bhojel picked up two for 30. For CCCC, Julius Mochahari topscored with 44 (4x8). Mahbubul Haq of Brahmaputra Boys scalped three wickets, while Amar Jyoti Das and Arunav Kalita shared two wickets each.

Earlier, Noonmati Cricket Academy were given a walkover.

Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre will play Smart English School and River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre meet Nalbari Cricket Coaching Centre tomorrow.
