It’s time to loosen your belt a few notches and usher in the festive season. Introducing a special menu for Yuletide is Red Xpress (at 174 Sarat Bose Road and Block EP & GP, Bengal Intelligent Park, Sector V, Salt Lake).

The ‘Roast and Toast, Grills and Brews’ menu, available between December 15 and January 15, has a scrumptious spread of Roast Turkey with cranberry/date sauce, Roast Leg of Lamb with mint sauce, Roast Chicken Forestiere and Roast Baby Bekti, besides the chef’s special Grilled Fish Miami (fish marinated in vodka and wine, grilled and served in a sweet-sour fruit sauce).
“The Roast Lamb with mint sauce is usually served at five-star hotels. My favourite is the good ol’ turkey and it goes best with red wine,” said chef Susanto Sarkar, who has previously worked with the Taj group for more than 25 years.
Vegetarians can tuck into Grilled Paneer Tikka and Roast Vegetable Platter, which has marinated vegetables and tikki-roasted, served with mint chutney.
“The main attractions are turkey and duck,” said Namrata Borthakur, executive director.
A meal for two costs Rs 700 (taxes extra).
