Khalin Joshi shines

Khalin Joshi of Bangalore emerged as the clubhouse leader after the second day of the PGTIís Final Qualifying Stage for the 2013 season, being held at the RCGC. Joshi, who shot a 71 in round two, has a total score of five-under-139.

Mumbaiís Anil Mane is placed second with a total score of three-under-141 while Pakistanís Matloob Ahmed Rana is in third place at two-under-142. Local lad Rahil Gangjee occupies fourth position with an overall score of one-under-143.

Aditi victory

Aditi Ashok carded a stunning three-under 66 that gave her the Billoo Sethi Trophy for the strokeplay segment of the Usha All India Ladies Amateur Golf Championships.

Millie Saroha, who led after the first round, was second with a card of 73 that gave her a two-day aggregate of 143, while Gursimar Badwal (75-72) was third at 147.

Tennis meet

Sanil Jagtiani beat Ishaque Eqbal 6-2, 7-6 in the in the boys’ under-16 singles semi-final of the BTA-AITA Talent Series tournament. In the final, he will meet Vikash Singh, who beat Arghya Das 6-4, 6-1.

BHA will felicitate Leslie Claudius with Life Time Achievement Award on Friday at his residence.
