St Johnís, ACCC win

U-14 cricket

Guwahati, Dec. 12: St Johnís School and Ankurjyoti Cricket Coaching Centre registered victories in their respective group league matches of the Ashwini Rajbangshi Trophy Ankurjyoti Challenge (under-14) cricket tournament at Latasil ground here today.

St Johnís, electing to bat first, scored 147 for nine in 20 overs to defeat Smart Kid English School (106 for nine) by 39 runs in the morning match.

In the afternoon, Ankurjyoti CCC defeated Nalbari Cricket Coaching Centre by four wickets. Electing to bat, the Nalbari boys were all out for 53 runs in 11.5 overs and Ankurjyoti boys achieved the target in 10 overs losing six wickets.

South Point School will play Noonmati Cricket Academy and Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre will clash with Brahmaputra Cricket Club C tomorrow.
