Her birthday will be marked by the number 12,” he said. “Not only the girl child was born on the rare combination of 12.12.12, the Caesarean section was assisted by a 12-member medical team. Her fate would be determined by the number 12,” Sharma added.
Anita Singh, a gynaecologist in the state capital, said she performed five Caesarean sections today. “All the surgeries were planned. There was no complication in any of the surgeries. We had to perform the Caesarean section because the families wanted the surgeries at any cost on Wednesday. All of them felt that it would bring luck to their children,” she added. Singh said: “People are usually superstitious about birth dates. According to astrology, every date has its ownsignificance and some dates are considered auspicious. The families felt that 12.12.12 was one such date.”
The gynaecologist, however, said dates don’t matter much for the doctors. “But it was fun to see smiles on the faces of our patients and their families,” she said.
