Haldia port prod
Haldia, Dec. 9: Junior railways minister Adhir Chowdhury today told around 50 retrenched workers of private port operator Haldia Bulk Terminals that he had spoken to Union shipping minister G.K. Vasan thrice about their plight.
“I demand that the workers be provided other work at the dock,” he said. Adhir urged the workers, who are Congress supporters, to launch a movement against the port authorities.
